THE TEN UNIVERSAL LAWS OF PROSPERITY. Have you ever wondered why some people have to work so hard and others breeze through life. What do happy, healthy and wealth people know that you don’t know? Have you ever wondered what is the true meaning of success – it isn’t just about money, because we all know of people that are rich and miserable, and people that have little money and are rich in spirit. Since the "Law of Attraction" is a hot topic (see www.thesecret.tv), it came to me to share a little on the subject of some of the natural laws of prosperity.
When I was a little girl I loved to watch people and I noticed happy people and their smiles, beautiful homes with pools and tennis courts and people on boats sailing in the middle of the day. I wondered what do they know that we don’t know. You see, my parents owned a business and worked hard. Our family business was open everyday, Monday through Sunday. My mother was also a D.J. on my dad’s radio show at night. I have four sisters and a brother and I had to get them up and get them ready for school in the morning and by the time I was twelve I could run my parents business. I was with my mother after school, went with her to pick up records for our record shop and worked in the store.
I loved being with my mom. My mother was amazing. She would get up and take up to school in the morning after coming home in the wee hours after the radio show. We were so grateful not to have to catch the bus to school, as my dad always had stories of how he walked 20 miles to school. He said we could walk a few miles to school! During Christmas and Easter my mother would sew all night to make beautiful dresses for us (not my brother, smile) to wear to church. I would stay up with her as long as I could, and wondered why she had to work so hard? My dad believed in hard work. He would always say that you had to work hard to get ahead in life. He was always stressed and my mother was always tired. What they didn’t know was a different belief system about money, work and the universal laws of prosperity.
I would like to share with you what I have learned about the principles of spiritual laws of success and how I have applied them in my life. It starts with our belief system, which generates our thoughts. Our thoughts feed our emotions, our attitudes and actions. First, let me give you the under lying belief system and the basic Ten Universal Law of Prosperity. Consider them and be open to new possibilities.
There are numerous books on the Universal Laws and Taoism has influenced me, the teachings of Master Hua-Ching Ni, Jack Canfield (author of Chicken Soup for the Soul) and other teachers and authors have made an impact on me relating to this subject. As a matter of fact, the movie The Secret is all about the "Law of Attraction" (www.thesecret.tv). Check it out.
I am presenting a belief system here and "The Ten Universal Laws of Prosperity" for you to consider and ponder. I will explain the belief system and each of the ten laws later, which are:
- The Law of Attraction – Your thoughts manifest your reality
- The Law of Pure Potentiality – You are the source of potential
- The Law of Effort – Be present with effortless acceptance
- The Law of Kharma – You reap what you sow/cause & effect
- The Law of Being – Being sourced by the Divine within
- The Law of Intention – Power to create your desires
- The Law of Giving – Give what you seek
- The Law of Detachment – You have infinite possibilities
- The Law of Dharma – Fulfilment of your purpose in life
- The Law of Love – Forgive and enfold yourself with love
Deepak Choppra explains seven of these laws in "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success and "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity" by Catherine Ponder uses Christian philosophy to beautifully explain 20 laws of prosperity.
These Universal Laws are rooted in ancient philosophies including Taoism, which states that all of creation, everything that exists in the physical world, is the result of the unmanifest (the unknown) transforming itself into the manifest (the known) and we perceive the results of the transformation as the visible.
The Universal Law is defined as the process by which the unmanifest becomes the manifest, where the observer becomes the observed, the seer becomes the scenery and the dreamer manifests the dream. (See Choppra, 4) This is the Supreme, Being. In Conversations with God, Neale Donald Walsch wrote the source of all creation is the Supreme, Being. So this is the Divinity Consciousness, being or in motion. Did you ponder that? I did. I found it to be profound.
Deepak Coopra stated that three components manifest as reality: the spirit, the mind and the body. Taoism uses different language. In Taoism one would say the source of all creation is the Universal Divine Spirit and the object of that creation is the Tao. There would be five components, which manifest as reality: the Shen/Spirit, Hun/Soul, Yi/Mind, Zhur/Emotions and the Po/Body. It doesn’t matter what language or symbols are used, it all come from the same Source: the field of pure potentiality, which is the Divine Spirit, the unmanifest. The physical laws of the universe are the process of the Universal Divine Spirit, the unmanifest in motion, or the Consciousness in motion. Are you still with me on this? When my son read this, he said it made his head hot and he had to take off his hat (smile).
Within this belief system are the laws of prosperity, so it all makes sense and that is why it is worth the time to give it some thought. If this is new to you, you don’t have to believe it. Just be open. Just ponder it for a while. When we understand the physical laws of the universe and learn how to apply them in our lives we become creators. Yes, you can create your own reality, because the same laws that natures uses to create the stars, the earth and a tree, as well as the human body, can be used to attract and manifest in our own realm of reality. We can actually create with our thoughts to fulfil our intentions and desires with effortless ease. That is what these laws are all about. In this belief system it is called the spiritual approach to abundance, success and prosperity, contrary to the physical approach that requires hard work, keeping your nose to the grind stone, hitting the ground running, drinking lots of cafĂ© Latte at the expense of your health, well-being and relationships, not the mention often at the expense of others.
This all is leading to the oneness of the universe. We are all one with the universe, therefore You are Me and I am You – simply in a different container and having a different life experience. I was first introduced to these concepts in my twenties, then again at Yo San University. It was just a concept and it went right over my head. I was exposed to it again and again by different people and books that can into my life. Now I’ve got it and it is my desire to impart it to you or at least plant the seed and you can water it – as you wish.
The Universal Laws are based on Qi or energy. It is all energy. Qi is energy with information and vibrations that exist in everything in the universe: a galaxy, a star and us. A star, a tree, or a human body is Qi or energy information vibrating at different frequencies. In this belief system our bodies are not separate from the energy of the universe and you are simply an energy wiggle in the larger quantum field, which makes you and I an extension of the universe. How awesome is that!
This is called the oneness of the universe and it is the energy that cannot be separated. God is the absolute energy experiencing itself as the relative energy. Yin is the unmanifest and Yang is the manifest. Consider this, space is not empty – it is the Supreme and everything else is the Being. Are you still with me - when my brother read this (he is a Muslim and an Imam) I believe his head got hot too, but he kept reading? (Thank you, Khalil)
So, there is only one consciousness in its essential nature and we are part of the energy in motion. You and I are part of the Divine Consciousness experiencing Itself through the universe, and though us. Each one of us is a singular consciousness within the universe and we experience the quantum field subjectively: as our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, memories, intuitions, intentions, desires, attitudes as well as through our five senses: see, hear, taste, touch, smell.
This is why the universal laws work for us. We can use our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, intentions, desires and five senses to create from infinite possibilities and unlimited opportunities. We can manifest and attract things, people and relationships into our lives. The fact is that you are doing it right now, but most of us do not know it. We do not know how powerful we are, so we live our lives from past memories, with low-grade hurt, pain and fears. It has been my experience that without knowing it, we become victims of our life decisions, frustrated over things that don’t go our way. Some of us still suffer from past experiences with guilt or blame. Most of us live our lives on autopilot reacting to events, situations and occurrences instead of responding situations and occurrences and creating events that we want to unfold in our lives. How do you create events?
Consider this, the Divine Consciousness is the Objective reality and we are the subjective reality. What that means is everything and everyone in our world or reality is a projection of our thoughts. In our reality there is only one source of consciousness. In your world, there is only one source of consciousness and that is “You” and your subjective projections on what is real, good or bad, as well as what is possible and what is not real or possible. In our world we observe things and others and place a meaning and value to the experience, therefore everything exist inside our own consciousness.
Now here it the miracle and how we can create our own events and reality. We house the Divine within us, yes, within our very own hearts. We can unleash the Divine Spirit within, which seeks to be fully manifested and fulfil a purpose in our lives. We can awaken our souls to direct our minds, emotions and flesh. We can experience of the miraculous and allow the Divine Spirit within us to unfold with it’s vision and purpose. Take a minute a look around you. Reflect on your experience in nature – your favourite place by the sea, on the mountain, in the desert or in space. We see the miraculous unfolding all around us. It is only our perception and point of view in what we perceive and believe.
How can you create from within? Be your observer. Start with observing yourself. Observe your mind, your emotions and your actions. Notice your thoughts, feelings and attitude about what you perceive. Don’t judge yourself, just observe. Notice the words that come out of your mouth. Later we can discuss how to open your eyes to a new realm of possibility. I say to myself, “Wake up. Pay attention.“ I opened my heart to all and let my love enfold and surround me. This is how I have awakened my soul and unleash your Spirit. I see the Divine Spirit in all things and everyone. I see the Divine in myself, and in you, in the blooming of a flower, in the hovering of a hummingbird and in the heavens. You and I are one. I recognize myself in you. And when we begin to recognize our own Divinity and experience our own life as a miraculous experience, something wonderful unfolds. We open the realm of infinite possibilities to become creators of our lives and manifest abundance in every aspect of our being – in spirit, mind, body, and emotions and in our very souls. This is a joy in our hearts and happiness in our souls. We create new opportunities for our lives in health, in relationships, in finances. We begin creating a wealthy spirit and prosperity unfolds for you and others - for the highest good of all. That is the true meaning of success.
